Places You Can Visit in the Surrounding Area

You can visit the Holy Monastery of Molista (Presentation of the Virgin Mary), Ganadio, the nearby traditional villages, and the town of Konitsa with its famous single-arched stone bridge. Enjoy hiking to the Holy Monastery of Stomio, relax at the thermal baths of Amarantos or Kavasila, visit the house of Saint Paisios, and explore the Voidomatis and Aoos rivers. For nature and hiking enthusiasts, a truly unique experience is a visit to the Dragon Lake of Tymfi and the Dragon Lake of Smolikas—two remarkable alpine landscapes—along with many other attractions, all easily accessible from our guesthouse.

Monastiri Konitsa

The village of Monastiri, at the entrance of which our guesthouse is located, lies approximately 20 kilometers from Konitsa via a fully paved road. It is situated on the southwestern side of Mount Smolikas, below Mount Kleftis, at an altitude of 920 meters. The village is surrounded by dense coniferous forest, while between the village and the lower Sarantaporos River, one can find oak trees, apple trees, pear trees, and other native vegetation. In the village stands the Holy Monastery of the Presentation of the Virgin Mary.
